The extension will nearly double the area of the distribution center at the location of the corporate headquarters in Neu-Anspach from the current 8,000 sqm to 14,000 sqm.
The entire material flow in the existing warehouse as well as in the new building will be controlled and optimized using SuPCIS-L8. The warehouse management system of S & P Computersysteme GmbH, which is connected to the ERP system Navision via an interface, will manage the new 2-aisle and double-depth automatic mini-load system, a bulky goods storage as well as a broad- and a narrow-gauge pallet warehouse. The material flows from the different areas are synchronized by the WMS and directed towards the packing stations. SuPCIS-L8 provides strategies such as route optimization, order clustering and multi-order picking for time- and resource-saving intralogistics.
The expanded and modernized warehouse is scheduled to be put into operation for the third quarter of 2017.
"With S & P, we have found a partner who has very quickly recognized the critical points and important parameters of our intralogistics and convinced us with sound and visionary advice," said Christian Krause, Head of Logistics and Supply Chain at the Adam Hall Group.
