Horsepower, AI and Change Management: Successful S&P User Day 2019

The S&P User Day 2019 was a complete success: Customers and partners of S&P experienced a cheerful evening in the kitchen and learned more about current intralogistics trends and developments, the use of new methods and technologies, such as artificial intelligence in logistics, in specialist lectures the following day.

The S&P User Day 2019 - Exciting news and lots of fun amidst oldtimers and race cars
The S&P User Day started on 12 September 2019 in the historic halls of the Motorworld Region Stuttgart in Böblingen. Customers and partners celebrated a kitchen party together with the S&P team in the midst of vintage cars and powerful sports cars. In a cheerful atmosphere, everyone was able to cook, enjoy and chat in a relaxed atmosphere.

The next day was filled with exciting news, informative lectures and inspiring discussions. As keynote speakers, the S&P managing directors Horst Reichert and Rémy El Abd motivated to actively shape and utilize the changes brought about by digitization and new technologies. In addition, they presented new SuPCIS-L8 functions and showed numerous application examples from current projects.

Siegfried Gößwein and Martin Schiphauwer from Kramp showed how a consolidated, future-proof global logistics strategy can be developed and implemented with the right partners and, of course, the right warehouse management software.

Prof. Philipp Gölzer and Markus Weissenbäck from the Fraunhofer Supply Chain Services working group gave an insight into the world of mathematics and AI research as well as the possible use of artificial intelligence in warehouse management.

Alexander Kapp from ProGLove presented a novelty in the wearables segment for use in warehouses.

The User Day ended with discussion rounds and workshops in which the participants had the opportunity to intensively exchange ideas among themselves, with the S&P team and with the Fraunhofer Analytics specialists and to deepen the topics and questions of the morning.
